Osage Orange Christms Tree

While we were in Ohio over Thanksgiving, we collected some Osage Oranges to make Christmas decorations. Here is the result of Sally's creativity. The red berries are from Nandena (Heavenly bamboo).

Obituary of Donny Getzinger

Donald "Big D" Getzinger, 49, of Maumee, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the Medical University of Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 24, 1957, in Toledo to David and Marion (Meltzer) Getzinger. A dispatcher in the Construction Industry, Don was extensively involved with the Cub Scouts Pack 199, and was their official "Grillmaster." Don is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Julia (Richardson) Getzinger whom he married June 14, 1986; sons, Tim Long, David and Lucas Getzinger; grandchildren, Amanda and Cody Long; sisters, Georgianna Browning and Lauri (Richard) Lewandowski; brother, Michael Getzinger, and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. in the Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee OH.
